In Greek mythology there is a story of Echo and Narcissus. Echo is a beautiful mountain fairy who is loved by the guardian goddess of girls and hunting, Artemis.

Echo is a friendly fairy and loves to talk. One day he was asked to stand guard at the entrance of the forest by his girlfriend who was having an affair with Zeus, king of the gods.

Echo himself did not know anything about the affair until Hera, Zeus's wife came. On the message of his friend Echo was forced to buy time by inviting Hera to talk.

When Zeus tried to run away, Hera learned of his whereabouts and was angry at Echo who talked too much to him.

Hera cursed Echo so that she could not speak and the words that came out of her mouth were only repetitions of words spoken by others.

Echo left the forest and went walking to a pond. In the pool there is a handsome man named Narcissus who is busy observing the reflection of his face in the pool water.

Echo fell in love with Narcissus but unfortunately, the man was busy staring at a handsome person in the pool who was none other than himself.

Narcissus suddenly heard a rustling sound from behind a tree. He said who was there? A voice responded by repeating the words, 'who is there?'

Every time you talk Echo always repeat the same words. Narcissus loves himself in the pool while Echo loves Narcissus but can't say anything.

Until Narcissus finally died by the pool with a love that had never been avenged in his life.

Whereas Echo soon after, his beauty faded, his skin withered, and his bones turned to stone.

Echo is never seen again, what remains of Echo is the sound of his voice.
